Joshua Jakubow came to my piano studio when he was only 4 years old, and from the first lesson I recognized that his abilities and talent to music were extraordinary.  For example, for the average child it takes some years to be aware of basic skills in piano, such as, technical marks, fingering, steadiness of beat, sensitivity, singing tone, etc. Joshua learned all of them in a few months.

We always work on the technique, style, history and in imaginative approach to his pieces. Very often Mr. Jakubow comes to the piano lessons after practicing at home with his new ideas in phrasing or dynamics. Most of the time we are a team of teacher and student in a structural design and interpretation and styles.

Mr Jakubow is an intelligent, thoughtful person, and a wonderful piano student. The benefits for Joshua who is able to improvise with confidence and freedom are enormous. Joshua Jakubow is a composer too with a good taste and feelings.
           
But the most important, my student Joshua Jakubow is an outstanding performer who demonstrates his tremendous abilities by taking his audience heartfelt appreciation for his inspiration.
