Ten Year National Winner, Joshua Jakubow, is 14 years old and has been playing piano for over 1o years with Ludmila Vasserstein, in Miami Beach, FL. Joshua Was accepted at the New World High School of the Arts for the 2007-08 school year. He was participated in many piano competitions and recitals.
Mr. Jakubow has won scholarships from the Miami MTA Foundation and the Coral Gables Music Club. He is also a multiple honor winner of the MMta Annual Honors recitals. He was chosen to perform in 2004, 2005 and 2006 Jazz Festival Honors recitals. He was also among the chosen few who were asked by Steinway to perform at the VIzcaya Museum and Gardens.
For seven yeats, Joshua has performed at the Dade County Youth Fair, where he won first places, perfect scores, plaques and cash prize awards. He is also a first place winner of the Rising Talent Showcase. Besides piano, Joshua has a wide variety of interests including composition, acting at John Robert Powers and dancing at the Little Theatre school. His brother Jonathan, a college student, also studied piano with Ludmila Vasserstein. |
